Iranian Army public relations, via Tasnim and Anadolu, made the claim that advanced systems in Iran’s integrated air-defense network intercepted and destroyed a US MQ-9 unmanned aircraft above Qeshm Island, describing the aircraft as belonging to an “invading American enemy.” ? Unproven Rebuttal: No US military confirmation or denial of that specific down appeared in war.gov RSS; Al Jazeera relayed a Central Command official saying the command had heard Qeshm reports, that things were “relatively calm,” and that it had “no comment”; President Trump separately described US “minor strikes” that knocked out an Iranian anti-aircraft device — a US offensive narrative, not an admission that Iran downed an MQ-9.[4][5][6][7]

China

Xinhua led its Nov. 7 English report by stating that Iran’s air defence force “has shot down two U.S. MQ-9 drones over Qeshm Island,” citing Iran’s Press TV and IRNA witness accounts of projectiles hitting the Suza area. ! Misleading Rebuttal: The wire presents contested Iranian claims as established fact while noting only in later paragraphs that CENTCOM offered no comment and that Trump described US minor strikes; it does not mark the downs as unverified.[8][9]

Russia

Russian negotiating positions, as characterized by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, continue to argue that a ceasefire needs lengthy preparation, weapon withdrawals or buffer zones. ! Misleading Rebuttal: Ukrainska Pravda reported Zelenskyy saying the Oleshky ceasefire in Kherson Oblast shows a truce can be established quickly without those steps and that the main obstacle is the lack of political will in Moscow; treat the Russian prep requirement as a contested talking point, not a verified operational necessity.[10]
