This tracker is a searchable database of 1,352 short, attributed quotes and 35 social posts from 337 public figures and institutions in 85 countries and bodies: heads of state and government, ministers, military and security officials, UN and NATO officials, party leaders and lawmakers. It focuses on geopolitics, war, security and diplomacy, with many entries on Israel, Iran and the wider Middle East. Every entry gives the date, speaker and role, venue or platform, topics, a short labelled context line and a link to the transcript, video, report or original post it came from. Use the Type filter to show only quotes or only social posts. Entries currently run from December 15, 2000 to October 3, 2026.
Status. 842 entries are verified against a transcript, video or official press record, and 510 are reported by a named news outlet because we did not find a transcript; the outlet is named in each badge. Use the Status filter in the last column to show only the entries verified against a transcript or video, or only outlet-reported ones.
The tracker records what was said. It does not rate, rank or interpret the speakers, and it takes no side. Statements from across the political spectrum and from governments that disagree with each other are included on the same terms.
How we label text. Text in quotation marks or marked Verbatim is copied word for word from the cited source. Text marked Summary or Editor’s note is our paraphrase; we keep it to a minimum.
Social posts. Posts from the official accounts of leaders and institutions on X and Truth Social are copied verbatim, exactly as posted, and linked to the original. They may be edited or deleted later, so each shows the date we captured it. We link out only: no embedded widgets, images or videos. Counts such as likes and reposts, where shown, are what the platform displayed at capture and change over time.
75 of the quotes link to a full transcript or a transcript page on Peter’s World. The Speech and Interview Transcripts library publishes the complete text of major speeches, statements and floor debates where the licence or public-domain status allows it, shows verbatim excerpts and a very short labelled summary for interviews and other copyrighted material, and can be searched in full.
How entries are verified
- We open the source and check the wording word for word against it. If we cannot confirm it, it is not listed.
- Only documented public statements are used: official transcripts, parliamentary and congressional records, UN and NATO records, government releases, official social accounts, and major news reports or video. Anonymous sources, parody or impersonation accounts, deleted posts and posts we cannot check against the post itself are not used.
- Social posts are read from the post itself (platform page, API or embed data) and cross-checked against a second copy or the reporting outlet. The status says which: “Verified against original post” or “Verified via outlet: name”.
- Quotation marks only ever surround the speaker’s words. An ellipsis (…) shows where an excerpt starts or stops mid-sentence.
Excerpt policy, translations and corrections
- Each quote is a short excerpt (about 50 words at most) with a link to the full source. Read the source for the full context.
- A social post is shown in full when it is 280 characters or 60 words at most. Longer posts show only the first 50 or so words, marked […], with a link to the full post. Non-English posts are shown in the original language.
- Translated statements say who produced the English text (for example UN interpretation or an official government translation).
- Spotted an error or want something removed? Email contact@petersworld.org. Corrections are made promptly and noted.
Status badges: Verified against transcript checked against an official or full-text transcript. Verified against video/report checked against a video or an official press record. Reported by [outlet], transcript not found quoted from a named outlet (shown in the badge) because no transcript was found; outlet-reported quotes are less firmly verified than the others. Verified against original post a social post whose text was read from the post itself and cross-checked.

Submit a quote or correction
To suggest a quote, send the speaker, date, the exact words and a link to the transcript or recording to contact@petersworld.org. We only publish what we can check against the source. To report a mistake, email the same address with the entry’s date and speaker. No form is needed.
Search the database
Type in the search box to search quotes, posts, speakers, topics and context. Use the dropdowns in the column headers to filter by type (quote or social post), month, speaker, country, topic and status. Filters combine and search the whole database; the table shows 100 entries at a time, so use “Show 100 more” to continue. “Copy citation” copies the speaker, role, date, venue and source link.
