Overnight Barrage Hits Kyiv Grid and Bridge

Ukraine’s Air Force said Russia attacked overnight with Shahed, Gerbera and Parodiya decoy drones plus missiles; launched, intercepted and hit figures for that package are in the Munitions Count above.[26] President Volodymyr Zelenskyy separately put the missile count at 36 ballistic missiles, all directed at Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast, and said the main target was energy infrastructure.[27]

In the capital, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said the Pivnichnyi (North) Bridge was damaged and closed in both directions, and that electricity, heating and water were under extreme strain after energy hits in Kyiv and Zhytomyr oblasts.[28][29] The Kyiv City Military Administration and the State Emergency Service said six people were injured, including a 14-year-old, with fires and damage to residential buildings and a kindergarten in Solomianskyi and other districts.[30]

Zelenskyy said substations connecting the Rivne and Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plants to Kyiv and central regions were struck in Kyiv Oblast, with further substation damage in Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts; he said nine people were injured nationwide, including one child, and that twelve regions besides Kyiv came under attack.[31]

Energy and Gas Sites Under Fire

Acting Naftogaz head Serhii Fedorenko said Russian forces attacked a central Ukraine oil-and-gas facility three times overnight, damaging equipment, causing an explosion and sparking a large fire; staff were evacuated and none were injured.[32] Vinnytsia Oblast authorities and the State Emergency Service said energy infrastructure was hit there, leaving one person in critical condition and disrupting power across the oblast, with a fire station and market area also damaged.[33] Chernihivoblenergo separately reported an emergency that left about 150,000 customers without power in the Chernihiv area and Slavutych; the company did not state a cause.[34]

Kyiv Oblast Toll and Front-Line Casualties

Ukraine’s National Police and the Kyiv Oblast Military Administration said a 66-year-old man died in hospital after being pulled from rubble in the Brovary district, with two others injured and damage across Brovary, Boryspil, Bucha, Obukhiv and Bila Tserkva districts.[35] Sumy and Kherson oblast administrations reported one person killed and 17 injured in Russian attacks on November 6, including drone and guided-bomb strikes around Sumy hromada, Lypova Dolyna, Shostka and settlements in Kherson Oblast.[36]

Komyshuvakha Toll Rises to 55

Ukraine’s State Emergency Service said the death toll from the November 2 Russian guided-bomb strike on the school used as an aid center in Komyshuvakha, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, has risen to 55 after rescue workers recovered nine more bodies and remains under the rubble in the past 24 hours.[37] Yesterday’s edition carried the toll at 53; the rise reflects recovered remains, not a new strike in this window.

Ukrainian Strikes Inside Russia (Claims)

Ukraine’s General Staff said defense forces struck the Proton-Elektroteks plant in Oryol with Neptune missiles on the night of November 6–7, reporting a fire and explosions at a facility that produces components for Kovyor cruise missiles and Iskander-related ballistic systems.[38] The same staff said Ukrainian forces struck two Iskander launchers and a Pantsir-S1 system in Russia’s Bryansk Oblast on November 6 and overnight, plus logistics depots near Sokolohirsk and Zaaidarivka in Luhansk Oblast and a drone-operator gathering point near Novobohdanivka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.[39] Those are Ukrainian claims; independent confirmation was not in the opened sources.

Front Line and Force Claims

DeepState, a Ukrainian analytical group, said Russian forces advanced near Svitle and Vasylivka in Donetsk Oblast.[40] Ukraine’s General Staff claimed Russian forces lost 2,280 soldiers killed and wounded over the past day, bringing its cumulative personnel estimate to about 1,604,110; those figures are Ukrainian claims under confirmation.[41]

Diplomacy: Oleshky Ceasefire Argument

In a CNN interview with Jake Tapper, Zelenskyy said the local ceasefire experience in Oleshky, Kherson Oblast, showed a truce can be established quickly without lengthy weapons pullbacks or buffer zones, because drones can monitor violations, and that the obstacle remains Putin’s political will; he said a broader peace path can run with US mediation.[42]

The Komyshuvakha school/aid-center toll update concerns civilians killed in the November 2 strike, per the State Emergency Service (see Komyshuvakha section). Overnight civilian casualties in Kyiv city, Kyiv Oblast, Vinnytsia Oblast, and Sumy and Kherson oblasts are attributed in the Overnight, Energy and Kyiv Oblast sections above.
