Terms of Service

Effective date: October 13, 2026

These terms explain the rules for using Peter’s World at petersworld.org. We have tried to keep them short and readable.

Contents

1. Acceptance of these terms

Peter’s World (the “site”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Peter’s World. By visiting or using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. What this site is

Peter’s World is an independent site publishing news, analysis and commentary on geopolitics, warfare and world affairs. Our articles are for general information and discussion only. Nothing on the site is legal, financial, investment, medical or other professional advice, and you should not rely on it as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who knows your situation. Opinion and analysis reflect the views of the author and are labeled or written as such.

3. Accuracy, sources and corrections

We link to the sources behind our reporting and try to be accurate and fair, but events move quickly and early reports can change. Our approach is described on the Investigations page under “How we fact-find”. If you think something is wrong, please tell us through the Contact page with a link to the article and the source you rely on. When we confirm an error, we will correct it and say so on the article.

4. AI-generated images

Many of our featured images are created with artificial intelligence. They are illustrations, not photographs of real events, and are labeled “AI-generated illustration” where they appear. We do not present them as evidence of what happened.

5. Intellectual property and permitted use

Unless noted otherwise, the articles, graphics, layout, name and logo of Peter’s World belong to us or are used with permission, and are protected by copyright and other laws. Quotes, facts and material from other publishers remain the property of their owners.

You are welcome to:

  • quote a short excerpt of an article, with clear attribution to Peter’s World and a link to the original page;
  • share links to our articles on social media and in email;
  • print or save a copy for your own personal, non-commercial use.

Please do not:

  • copy or republish whole articles, or large parts of them, without our written permission;
  • scrape, crawl or harvest the site in bulk, or use it to build a database or to train a commercial product, without our written permission;
  • remove attribution, labels or credits, or suggest that we endorse you or your product.

For permission requests, use the Contact page.

6. Contact form, comments and conduct

Comments are turned off across the site, so readers cannot post comments. Comments left before they were turned off may remain on some pages. If we ever turn comments back on, we will update this section first.

You can reach us through the Contact page or by email at contact@petersworld.org. When you do, please:

  • give accurate contact details that belong to you;
  • not send anything unlawful, defamatory, threatening, harassing or hateful;
  • not send spam, advertising you have not been invited to send, malware or automated bulk messages;
  • not send other people’s private information or material you do not have the right to share.

We may ignore or delete messages that break these rules, and we may block senders who abuse the form. If you send us a news tip, document or correction, you allow us to use the information in our reporting. We will not name you as a source without your permission, unless the law requires it.

Our articles link to outside websites, sources and social posts. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement. The site may display ads, sponsored content or affiliate links, which will be disclosed. Sponsors and advertisers do not control our editorial decisions, and ads are not an endorsement of the advertiser. If you deal with an advertiser or other third party, that is between you and them.

8. Newsletter and email

If you subscribe to our email newsletter, you agree to receive it at the address you provide. Subscriptions are handled through Jetpack. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time. Please only sign up with an email address that belongs to you.

9. Privacy

How we collect and use information, including analytics, cookies and advertising, is explained in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Using the site means you also accept those practices.

10. Disclaimers

The site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components. Some places do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of this may not apply to you.

Not professional advice. Our news, analysis, trackers and data are for general information only. They are not legal, financial, investment, tax, medical, security or travel advice. Please check important facts with official sources and a qualified professional before you act on them.

Machine translation. The language switcher on this site uses Google Translate to produce automatic translations into Farsi, Hebrew and Spanish. These translations are made by software, not by us, and may contain errors or change the meaning of the text. The English version is the official version. We are not responsible for mistakes in machine translations.

More detail is on our Disclaimer, Editorial Standards and Corrections, Copyright and DMCA Policy and Image Credits and Licensing pages.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Peter’s World and the people who run it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or from relying on its content. If we are found liable for any reason, our total liability will not exceed US $100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top shows the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. Effective date: October 13, 2026.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, and you agree to the jurisdiction of those courts.
